The Appalachian Mountains were first settled predominantly by Scots-Irish immigrants. Their influence can be readily witnessed in lots of ways: lively fiddle music, clogging (a derivation of an old English dance), and, of course, the game of golf. With access to many top-rated golf courses in the area, the Lodge is the perfect place to perch.
Our Birdie is the more intimate golf-inspired room, with subtle hints of our love of the game, including a Gobelin tapestried armchair with golf scenes. Private and quiet, the Birdie accommodation offers a queen bed, an antique writing desk and a comfortable bath with soaking tub and shower.
