Fishing

If you are an angler, or just want to try your hand at being an angler, you’re in for a treat. Lake Lure and Hickory Nut Gorge streams are filled with fresh-water fish – large and small-mouth bass, rainbow and brown trout, crappie, white bass and sun-perch. As the lake is 720 acres with 21 miles of shoreline, finding your fishing hole is easy. Remember you will need required licenses and trout stamps, as well as a boat permit if you plan to spend the day afloat.
