Tree Tops Restaurant at the Lodge on Lake Lure

The only accommodations perched on the banks of this spectacular mountain-ringed lake, The Lodge on Lake Lure offers the perfect spot to dine – literally among the treetops under a canopy of leafy shade.  The lodge’s Tree Tops Restaurant, located on the main entrance level of the inn, offers sweeping, panoramic views of the lake and surrounding Blue Ridge Mountains. With both indoor seating as well as outdoor al fresco dining on the veranda, Tree Tops Restaurant features a relaxed ambience set amidst breathtaking natural beauty. Adjoining the lodge’s bar as well as its spacious Great Room, the restaurant over-sized windows are screened, allowing diners to enjoy the cool mountain breezes on summer nights. In cooler weather, the Great Room’s roaring fireplace creates a warm, inviting gathering spot after dinner. Furnishings in the restaurant are clean and minimalist in design, focusing attention on the richness of beautiful hardwoods and native stone. Table lamps flicker during a romantic dinner for two, or cozy corner tables provide a group of friends with a convivial and comfortable dining spot.

Our Fare

Chef Andrew King heads up our culinary team and prides himself in his attention to scratch-made recipes and local produce and products. With a nod to his Southern roots, Chef King presents heirloom recipes with a modern, lighter interpretation. Home-made ice creams, desserts, salad dressings and sauces grace your table.

Our biscuits are made from scratch and our meats smoked using Chef King’s own special spice blend. The Lodge on Lake Lure uses local, mostly organic products in abundance during growing seasons, and our partner farmers fill our kitchen with the freshest and highest quality raw ingredients. Tree Tops Restaurant offers frequent specials, based on seasonal products, but is consistently sought after for its Low Country Crab Cakes, Cornish Hens, House-made Salads, Vegetarian Lasagna and its special Bread Pudding. A hand-selected wine list is offered at dinner as well as through room service.

  • For Friday and Saturday evening dining from 6:30 p.m.
