The Culinary team at the Lodge on Lake Lure strive to use local, organic, and sustainable ingredients while creating our innovative seasonal offerings.

The following is included in your stay

Breakfast

Awaken your appetite at the Lodge on Lake Lure where you’ll enjoy a delicious, home-cooked gourmet breakfast each morning.  Guests sit down for a bountiful breakfast in the dining room, overlooking the lake.  Our breakfast ambiance is always peaceful, intimate, and quiet for comfortable meals and friendly conversation.

Guests may indulge in variety of breakfast selections including fruit, cereals, and Chef Arlene’s hand-made granola and fresh-baked scones and muffins.  A favorite among guests are the paper thin Crêpes with wild blueberry-maple sauce and breakfast sausage.  Another delicious dish is the traditional Southern biscuits and gravy.  Arlene is happy to create made-to-order omelets, and is prepared for most guests special dietary needs. Our shaded porch is also available for outdoor breakfast dining as well.

Snacks and Sweets

Upon check-in or after a days canoe trip, be sure to stop in our Butler’s pantry.  Southern Sweet Tea, Lemonade, assorted snacks and fruit are available for our guests.  Most importantly the fresh baked cookies, chocolate pound cake or maybe Arlene’s famous lemon bars will be waiting to satisfy your sweet tooth.  Coffee and a selection of hot teas can be prepared to take back to your room or enjoy while relaxing on the veranda.

Wine and hors d’oeuvres

Each evening our guest enjoy a selection of cheeses, vegetables, light appetizers, and hot dips.  These can be taken back to your room, enjoyed on the veranda, or sitting by the warmth of the fire in our great room.  A selection of wines will be available.
